WHAT WE DO
WHAT IS NEUROSCIENCE?
Neuroscience focuses on how the brain and nervous system develop and react. We at NeuroRelations use recent discoveries about it and input from our MD/PhD and 38-year senior HR executive to generate simple messages that improve relationship structure. Once our principles are in place, they perpetuate themselves with little maintenance as people and processes turnover.
We help your team understand cognitive function and resulting behavior. Group exercises raise awareness, change perception and along the way increase emotional intelligence.
What our Radiologist/Neuroscientist and others have learned in recent years about the brain and its effect on work performance is truly amazing! You’ll be astounded by content we convey and its transformational effect!
Nearly every new Neuroscience study brings more potentially life-changing information. Only a generation ago, there was a belief that our brains were static, prone to inevitable atrophy. Now, however, we understand that the brain can rewire and reinvent itself in remarkable ways. It can accomplish things never believed possible! And we’re the catalysts! We just need to reject old ideas, understand new ones and get everyone in sync.

TODAY'S ASSOCIATE IS LOOKING FOR CONNECTION
On January 21, 2022 the Harvard Business Review said:
“65% of workers say they feel less connected to their coworkers. Employee disconnection is one of the main drivers of voluntary turnover, with lonely employees costing U.S. companies up to $406 billion a year."
In short, Associates seek a greater sense of belonging. They want identity and inclusion. Without that kind of engagement, they often seek other employment. In response, we help you generate loyalty, job satisfaction and greater productivity by providing your teams a gratifying, high-performance environment.
CULTURE IMPROVES
Companies are trying to reduce turnover and reinvent themselves through greater Associate engagement. NeuroRelations will help! Our experience shows Associates want two important intangibles – more involvement and more satisfying workplace relationships. Building teams that engage, thrive and create advances culture in broad-based ways.

THE WORKPLACE IS NO LONGER ABOUT “AUTHORITY” – IT’S “TRUST”
In prior generations, Associates looked to management for direction and in turn they accepted its “higher authority.” In today’s workplace, however, Associates want a deeper connection. NeuroRelations addresses that desire by building teams with “trust” being the glue holding everyone together. The question, of course, is how to stimulate it.
Research by our MD/PhD and others shows that for “trust” to exist Managers must leave behind old notions of “laying down the law” and instead focus on the opposite. They need to better understand themselves and the people around them. Our exercises foster self-awareness, attentiveness to others and communication. It’s the same theory coaches have applied in team sports breeding the best chemistry for a starting lineup, but now there’s a lot more science behind it.
Over the past fifteen years, there have been many breakthrough studies into how we function individually and in groups. Our MD/PhD Radiologist and Neuroscientist has been in the middle of it all experimenting and innovating. She and our 38-year senior HR executive will fashion a specific program for your Associate group and when available present training in-person! NeuroRelations will spawn excellence among your team!

SCIENTIFIC APPROACH TO IMPROVING TEAMS
Neuroscience studies show that workplace and personal interactions trigger either the Pre-Frontal Cortex known as the “higher brain” or the Limbic System known as the "animal brain".
We train for involvement of the “higher brain” because it positively influences helpful functions like attention, good judgment and cognitive flexibility. And we offer methods to avoid activation of the “animal brain” so it doesn’t generate instincts like “fight, flight or freeze” as well as helplessness.
We assist team members in:
-
Understanding themselves
-
Improving themselves
-
Understanding others
-
Generating positive interactions
We then go through exercises fostering communication and coordination. An underlying premise is that teamwork cannot be advanced unless everyone is onboard and most of the feeling of “management authority” must be replaced with broad-based “trust.” When control needs to be asserted, we explain how it should be advanced.
The two biggest issues we encounter involve Associates using limited “brain fuel” on fear-based matters and not knowing the vision of others.
We help them overcome those obstacles by maximizing their brain chemistry to feel better and communicate more effectively. In doing so, we train to an important “TRUST” anacronym:
T: Transparent
R: Respect
U: Understand
S: Share
T: Truth
